On 11th January, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) who is backed by RSS organised a student protest. The protest was in the form of a student march inside the campus of Delhi University. The students who were protesting denounced the violence that took place inside the campus of Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) and blamed the left wing for the violence. The protest also aimed to support the Citizenship Amendment Act
This protest came into effect because of the massive violence that took place inside the campus of JNU on 5th January. It was observed that people entered the campus and hostels of JNU with sticks and rods to attack the teachers and students. According to a report, more than 30 students including Aishe Ghosh, the Student Union President of JNU as well as over 10 teachers got injured in the attack.
After investigating for almost a week, the police has found out 9 suspects and revealed their identity. Shockingly, one of the suspects, for carrying out the violent attack inside the campus is Aishe Ghosh.
Out of all the 9 suspects mentioned by police, 7 have been found supporting left-wing while other two have affiliations with the right-wing group ABVP.
After police rolled out the identities of the suspects, ABVP showed dissent and slammed the JNUSU for ‘orchestrating the violence’ and carried out march & protests against left-wing organisations inside the University.
