As the university wraps its admission process for the incoming class of 2024, it has released the academic calendar for the students as well. The classes for the first semester will start on November 22, 2021.
The semester will span from the end of November to early April, with final examinations being tentatively conducted between March 22 to April 4 next year. Preparatory leaves will be provided to the students in the early part of March from March 11 to 20.
Within days of the first semester exams, the second semester is due to begin on April 7. So, students will not be given any summer break. This might prove to be especially cumbersome if the University of Delhi reopens the next year. Exams for this semester will be conducted in early to mid-August. The tentative dates for which are August 5 to 22, 2022. Preparatory leaves for this semester are marked for 26 July to 4 August.
Following which the third semester will start on August 26, 2022.
For students, taking admission in PG courses class will commence on December 1. Exams for this semester will take place between March 30 and April 12 of next year. Prep leaves and practical exams will take place between March 20 to 29.
After a two day break, the new semester will begin on April 16. Tests for this semester will be conducted between August 12 and August 25. Prep leaves and practical exams are scheduled for August 2 to August 11. And the next academic term will commence on August 26 2022.
2021 Admission Process Closing
The process that began nearly a month ago on October 1st is now coming to an end. Since the first list, nearly 70,000 students have acquired seats in the prestigious varsity. The fifth cut-off list, released on Monday, might be the last. If the required seats are still not occupied, the university will be releasing another special drive cut-off list on November 13. In the fifth cut-off list, many college’s have reopened seats in the general categories.
