Saurabh, a resident of the Kichha tehsil in the Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand was declared dead by the doctors at the Rudrapur’s MediCity Hospital upon arrival.
His kin took him to a private clinic at the Haldwani Road after he had complained of unforeseen ailments in the evening. The doctor at the clinic gave him an injection and sent him home. But his condition deteriorated after he had reached his home following which he was again rushed to the doctor who, in turn, referred him to Rudrapur’s MediCity Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.
The family is devastated by the loss and blames the clinic’s doctor for it. The boy’s father alleged that the doctor used an expired injection for the treatment which resulted in his death.
