Delhi University held a meeting recently regarding the setting of question papers for the final semester/term/year and relating to the schemes for examinations to be conducted. According to the previous notifications, DU had decided to conduct Open Book Examination (OBE) for final semester/year students in view of the current pandemic.
DU has asked to start preparing the question papers based on CBCS Course and Three-year Semester Scheme. The examination branch has already started the preparation for examinations for all stream and programmes, mainly for final year students. There would be changes in the pattern of question papers as it is supposed to be based on Open Book Examinations mode. The maximum marks, however, shall remain the same for all question papers.
Moreover, ex-students would also be allowed to appear for the improvement exams for completion of the degree. For this, relevant Unique Paper Code (UPC) should be mentioned for each question paper, for semesters 6, 4, and 2. Apart from this, departments shall prepare three sets of question papers based on the Annual Scheme of syllabus applicable to students of SOL and NCWEB with similar instructions.
The letter emphasizes on the mechanism to be followed for smooth functioning and communication with the requirement of low internet speed. It also mentions about the special care taken for the PwD students while setting of question papers. It requests everyone to see all these letters and notifications which have been released so far from the official website of Delhi University.
