As never seen before, something peculiar happened when DU withdrew the undergraduate entrance test results for LLB within an hour of publishing on its website where according to the students inappropriate results were uploaded as part of the negligence. The online entrance test was conducted on June 18 and declared the results on July 11 which got withdrew within an hour.
“The results were announced at 11 am but many students found that they had scored way less than they expected. I myself scored at least 25-30 marks less. Moreover, there were many whose names were not in the list, nor were students ranked properly. One hour later, the results were taken down from the website without any intimation of when they will be released later,” Shilpi, one of the examines, told IANS. The students spoke against such negligence and even complained that no one was on the front foot to whom they may contact for the result blunder.
This was the very first time Delhi University went for online mode for DU LLB which was held at many centers across the city which even after the exam students didn’t seem to be satisfied with the online entrance examination mode giving not so good reviews. Mainly the complaints were related to the technical glitches at the examination centers and slow internet and freezing of systems amidst the examination and even talked about non-professionalism as students were openly cheating.
“There’s been a spate of issues since the day the exam was conducted. Even then students had complained of other students being given extra time and raise questions about the fairness of the exercise. This clearly shows DU cannot handle online mode,” said one of the student in an interview.
As of now the final date has not been released that when the results will be declared and it is quite evident that students are loosing their patience .After the declaration of results students whose name will be their in merit list will be further called for counselling and will assigned the respective colleges.
