SINCE THE LOCKDOWN | IS DU RESUMING OFFLINE CLASSES FROM SEPT 1?
The social life at the University of Delhi has been dormant since late March 2020. Be it OBE, online classes, students paying fees for on-ground activities, and professors not receiving their salaries; the university still didn’t acknowledge a lot.
Read on the abnormalcy around, normalcy in the University campus here.
Earlier this month, the Delhi University had issued an official notification announcing that it would hold physical classes for Science stream students. In addition to the displeasure expressed by a section of professors, the issuing of no guidelines by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority for reopening made the university defer its decision.
Also, last to last year, there was speculation about the conduction of final year exams. Although DU did pretend to prepare itself for a reopening for the class of 2019 but eventually settled matters with OBE.
IS DU RESUMING OFFLINE CLASSES FROM SEPT 1?
A final decision will be taken in an executive council meeting on August 31.
– DU registrar Vikas Gupta
However, Gupta cleared the haze by stating that DU won’t be able to resume from September 1. Also, whenever it will open, it will first open for Science students.
So, unlike schools in the capital which said they will reopen on September 1, the University of Delhi seems to require a little more time to reach a decision.
