JEE Main NEET Date: The Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has announced the dates for JEE Main and NEET. The JEE Main will be held on multiple dates from July 19 to July 23. Meanwhile, the NEET will be conducted on July 26. As for now, the date of JEE Advanced has not yet been decided but is expected to be held in August. Additionally, the dates for the release of the admit card are not yet available.
Today was the second interactive session between the Union Minister and the students which was earlier scheduled to be held on May 02 but was postponed to May 05. He had interacted with the students and their parents on April 27 where he responded to some critical questions regarding the fate of the examinations. Such queries had started flowing in much before the first session where students were concerned about the college exams, online classes and direct promotion of class 10 and 12 students.
According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), over 9 lac students have registered themselves to appear for the JEE Main while around 16 lac candidates will appear for NEET. The dates were earlier scheduled due to the Covid-19 outbreak that resulted in a nationwide lockdown.
Later this week, the dates of CBSE X and XII standard are expected to be announced. The HRD Minister is also expected to calculate on if the exam syllabus can be reduced for the forthcoming academic sessions. This suggestion was raised by the Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia during a meeting of the Union HRD Minister with the State Education Ministers.
