Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce is a premier institution under the aegis of University of Delhi offering a plethora of undergraduate courses, that are, B.Com. (Hons.), B.Com. (Prog.), B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science, B.A. (Hons.) Economics, B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics, BMS, B.A. (Hons.) Punjabi and two post graduate courses, PGDIM & DBJCC.
The Placement Season 2018-19 saw the participation of various companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Wipro, Dell, Grant Thornton, Ken Research, TPDDL and many others making 204 offers till date. The average package this year was 4.5 LPA, while the highest package amounted to INR 6.5 LPA.
The college has yet again seen a multitude of prestigious companies expressing their faith in students, helping the college achieve an excellent placement ratio. This was substantiated by the active participation of students throughout the year.
Companies from more than 12 different sectors offered a diversity of profiles that included business analyst, marketing executive, audit associate, equity and other research-oriented positions.
In addition to this, the Internship Wing pulled out internship offers from big brands like EY and Ken Research. Placement Cell conducted an Internship Fair, helping students procure internships to build their aptitude and get relevant industry exposure. Companies like PayTm, Sharekhan, Etasha, etc. offered skill based internships and hiring over 200 students using the platform.
Furthermore, various workshops on CV Building, Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Financial Planning and Auditing were also conducted by the Training Department which in turn was very significant in making students placement ready.
